We really enjoyed the night stay in your home and everything was superb especially the breakfast. Our team members are much interested the home and location after seeing the photos. I'm sure that we'll meet again in another tour trip.

Nice place for a family vacation
Chennai, Tamil Nadu
My family comprising of four members stayed here for a couple of days during May 2013. The location is blissfully quiet and lives up to its name of being ecofriendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. The entire property is well maintained. There is a small garden at the rear. Parking is not an issue here since there is ample space. We took only one room, but there are more rooms in the first floor.
The owner Suresh is extremely helpful and very informative. I was slightly concerned before landing at the place, but on arriving, all my fears went away. He served us and our guests tea without even asking for the same and did not charge us for the extra tea served. The breakfast was also sumptuous consisting of idli and vada.
He advised us to visit Kauthuka Park which is just 10 mins drive and we were indeed happy that we did not miss out on this place. The vision and determination of the owner is really appreciable and commendable. We were inspired by his vision and overall our visit to Kouthuka was really worth it, more so because of the explanation given by the owner.
Suresh also advised us to have dinner at Hotel Siddharth and the food was good and quite economically priced too. He also ensured that we had a local guide for our trip from Athirapally to Valparai who was quite dependable and knowledgeable.
We stayed on the ground floor and personally I would have preferred more light and ventilation. But the rooms on the first floor were bright and sunny. Even after we landed at Valparai, Suresh called us up to ensure that we had reached safely and also gave us tips on where to stay at Valparai. In short, Eco green is a good and safe place for a family stay and at Rs.2000/- per day with extra bed is quite affordable.
No need to bargain
Stayed here with my family .it's optimization of money value.Suresh ensured that we felt homely and arranged the tour of two days one night to Athirapally and Kochi at genuine price .Would like to stay here in future too
Stayed November 2012
Don't miss this lovely house and great owner
Suresh will go out of his way to ensure that your stay is comfortable and without any hassle.
The house is conveniently situated off Highway 47 and is close to Cochin Airport. Suresh, who has been in the travel business, can organise trips to amazing places.
His garden is a beauty, Cocoa trees, Jackfruit trees and spices grow there.
We will definitely keep in contact with Suresh and visit him next time we are in Kerala.

Frendly and green
We visited Ecogreen homestay in October 2011. Suresh did a very good offer from us for several days: thanks to him we found a very reliable and fantastic driver, who introduced us to the area.
Suresh gave us advice how to view a short period of time as much as possible. Also, the homestay was located on the edge of this city, there was clean air and silent.
Suresh is very friendly and considerate. He was not at all annoying and intrusive. He kept his promise, and arranged all things well.
And we had made good choice when stopping at Chalakudy town, this is good location - nearly a half-day journey from the 14 sightseen - sea, mountains, elephants, temples, churches, etc..
We remember with gratitude Ecogreen homestay.
Fantastic value for money accommodation and great tour operator
We stayed at Suresh Mathew's homestay for a couple of nights in December and January and he also organised our whole 14 day tour in Kerala. The homestay was a very comfortable way to start and finish our tour. Suresh was very friendly and attentive and even organised a very nice dinner for us (with two cold (!!) beers ;-)).
As a tour operator he has also been very good indeed, choosing excellent locations and accommodations to visit/stay in. Everything was straight-forward and easy and so we could focus on relaxing and enjoying ourselves.

Perfect place to stay near Kochi AIrport
Our flight home, after a marvelous trip in Kerela, was at 4am so we wanted to stay nearby the airport. There are impersonal large hotels close to the airport but we wanted to savour the feeling of India down to the last moment. Ecogreen Homestay is 30 minutes away and we were very pleased to have the personal touch and comfort of being in a large home with a very kind and attentive proprietor. Our room was spacious and there's a lovly view from the first floor terrass. It's located in a quiet neighborhood and the owner prepares a delicious dinner. He also made sure we were awake for our taxi at 3am!
Our stay was wonderful!
We arrived at the homestay on 30th December and we were greated bu Suresh who had organised our whole trip in Kerala including driver, accomodation and trips. We stayed at the homestay for 2 nights which was really great, lovely food and accomodation. Each day we visited different places such as waterfalls, elephant sancturary and Ayurvedic massage clinic (fantastic!).
From Cochin our driver (Babu - thoroughly recommended, very safe!) took us to Munnar where the Tea Plantions were and it was out of this world, such a beautiful place, so relaxing and scenic. We stayed at the Chancellor Resort in Munnar which was really nice, we had the Honeymoon Bungalow with an amazing view, however the food wasn't that great. We moved onto Thekkady where we stayed at Sureshgreen Home Stay and we had a great room with Balcony overlooking the Garden. The owner - another Suresh was very helpful to book Trekking etc. The following day we did Trekking and saw monkeys, elephants etc and we did a cooking course at Campfire Cafe which was so good. The familly were great hosts.
Then we moved onto Kumakarom where we checked into a house boat, we stayed on the boat for one night which is more than enough as we couldn't stand the creapy crawlies however it was an experience. We were meant to stay for 2 nights on the boat but I telephoned Suresh Matthew at Eco green and he booked us into a cottage in the backwaters right at the last minute and it was so nice. Then moved onto Varkala and checked into Raja Park (we weren't really impressed with the room at all) but we had a great time chilling out on the amazing beach. Tip- don't shop in Varkala as they have overpriced everything there because its very touristy.
We also visited a childrens home called Happy Childrens Home in Kovalam and it was so nice to see the boys there. They are so happy with so little.
I would reccomend Kerala to anyone, and if you want piece of mind and someone you can trust then book the trip through Suresh Matthew at Ecogreen Home stay!
Ecogreen Homestay was my host in Kerala tour. Mr Suresh mathew organised the entire trip. We stayed 5 days in ecogreen. We took advantages to vist many picnic spots around ecogreen, namely Athirapilly water falls in forest, 54 Elephants fort, Boating in Peringal dam in Chimmini Wildlife Sanctury etc.
Ecogreen has enough living space, hygenic rooms ,tasty food etc.We love the place very much. It has a good connectivity by train to Aleppey,Varkala, kovalam etc by train.
