50 Elephants Punnathoor Kotta - 52 Kms
Offerings of Sree Krishna Temple Guruvayoor, 50 Elephants are groomed at the Punnathoor Kotta (Kotta means fort). Many elephants are brought as ritual offering to the temple. You can spend a whole day with these huge mammals here. Watching the naughty baby elephants, playful antics is an interesting experience. The place provides you an opportunity to watch how the sick elephants are medically treated in the traditional manner. One can also watch the training given to the elephants for various ritualistic performances. Remember you are in the land where people worship the elephants- faced God Lord Ganapathy. Grooming elephants are considered as status symbol.

Sree Krishna Temple, Guruvayoor -55 Kms
Dwaraka of the South , It is one of the most popular pilgrimage destinations in South India. It is said to have been worshiped by Lord Brahma himself at Dwaraka. It is the abode of Guruvayoorappan (Lord Krishna) on earth. The lord with his four lustrous arms holding the conch, the disc, the mace and the lotus and adorned with the holy tulsi (basil) and the pearl necklace appears in full radians and glory. It is believed that the Lord reveals himself in Guruvayoor in the same majestic form as he would in his celestial abode of Vaikunda. Hence his devotes acros the world swarm to Guruvayoor to fulfill their spiritual quest by a mere glimpse of his divine glory. Guruvayoor is equally fascinating even for the people without any religious interest merely due to it is landscapes and tranquility. Legend has it that a Pandya king was cured of snakebite while worshipping at the abode of Guruvayurappan.
